Terms and Conditions

General
An outline of our terms and conditions is provided below. Full terms are provided before you book.

The house is rented by the week, from Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am, on the day of departure. This timeframe allows for the house to be prepared for the arrival of our next guests. The Availability & Booking page shows the weeks the house is available and the booking procedure to follow. The house can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests.

Prices
Prices quoted are for each week, all inclusive, and vary throughout the year depending on the season. Prices include all electricity used for heating/lighting, bed linens and bath towels, and Wifi internet service. A £100 deposit for each week booked is required with full payment of the balance due six weeks prior to your scheduled arrival date. On receipt of your deposit, a formal confirmation letter will be sent to you containing the dates, price and other agreed terms of your stay.

Pet Policy
Well behaved and house trained dogs are accepted subject to disclosure and our agreement at the time of booking. Dogs are the sole responsibility of their owners and as such we cannot accept any responsibility for damages, injuries or claims resulting from their activity. There is an additional £25 cleaning charge if you bring a pet.

Housekeeping
Please do not smoke in the house and let us know if anything is broken so it can be replaced. We ask that you leave the house clean and tidy for our next guests. All rubbish and recycling should be placed outside in the bins for pickup. Used bed linen and towels should be placed in the laundry bags provided. And please run the dishwasher and leave the keys on your departure.

Cancellations
If in the event you must cancel your confirmed booking, please let us know immediately so we can then re-advertise the period of your stay. If we are able to re-let the house on similar terms, we can reimburse any balance of your payments, less the deposit.

Travel
In the event of disruptions to travel to Islay, please let our property manager know of any changes to your plans. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by road works, ferry or flight cancellations or other delays from whatever cause, however. Early booking of your travel to/from Islay is highly recommended.

Insurance
Under no circumstances will the owner or property manager be responsible for accidents, loss, personal injury, medical expenses, travel delays, or forfeited payments, from whatever cause. All guests are advised to obtain comprehensive insurance to cover travel and your stay at our house.
